EYES – Dr. Abby Jakob

Dr. Abby Jakob
Dr. Abby Jakob was born and raised in Kingsville, Ontario, and after spending eight years away at school, she was proud to return home to take care of your whole family's eye care needs.

Dr. Jakob attended Kingsville District High School, where she played basketball, soccer, volleyball, and badminton, as well as alto saxophone in the school's gold-medal winning jazz band! Dr. Jakob speaks both English and French. She was awarded a full scholarship to play basketball in Halifax at Dalhousie University, where she graduated with honours in Kinesiology. She attended the Illinois College of Optometry, where she graduated summacum laude in may 2014. Her proudest achievement from optometry was being voted by her peers as "Colleague of The Year".

In her spare time, Dr. Jakob loves to spend time with her new baby girl, Max and her husband, Patrick! She loves to spend time with her family and friends, go on a boat trip to Cedar Point and travel. She also loves playing with her cat and dog.
